Amazon Wank
So it seems that before Christmas Amazon had a DVD offer on boxsets - buy one get one free. Except they made a bit of a mistake and the lowest item was actually taken off twice. This resulted in, if you had two items of the same price, free DVDs.

As will happen people took advantage of this and people discussed whether that was ethical.

Skip forward to December 28th, and Amazon finally realises their error. All customers affected are asked to either return the boxsets unopened, or their credit cards will be charged the total price.

Aaaaand wank results People ask whether it's legal. Some people ring Amazon to complain. And some people sit proclaiming that it's all perfectly fine and serves folk right for taking advantage of it.

Well, if I don't eat anything else, I can mange two bigs macs. Three if I want to be horribly sick afterwards. I suppose some people could manage five. And it's not as bad as the couple who are two double monsterburger from Hardees each.

My friend and I got a monsterburger, large fry, and milkshake, and ate it all in around 7 minutes, and we were still hungry.

We're not fat, per se. We're both around 14s, although I've lost some weight. We just can eat.

God, I'm sure that some people eat all five at once, but I wouldn't even pay $0.32 for one. Blech.

But, when I worked there, we'd have vans full of kid's sports teams come through drive-thru and want one for everyone. So, yeah, limit of 5.

Working in fast food does have a way of assuring that you never, ever want to eat anything made there, doesn't it?

Eh, I know if I ever caught the damn thing I'd be filling up- that's meat for three days right there, and if you ask for them plain, it's... at least no less gross than usual fare.

Now, limit-of-20 25cent hamburger days are even better...

You'd be surprised. And kind of disgusted.

I dunno...how well do they keep? I mean, because I can see some poor college student buying a bunch and then keeping them in the fridge for a couple of days.

I could manage five or six regular Arby's sandwiches or two Big Montanas (with lots of sauce) and a large fry/large root beer fairly easily as a young teen, and still go foraging in the fridge an hourish later with minimal ill effects.

My limit on Big Macs was 2 and a half, though I managed two or three regular cheeseburgers, three cookies and two fish sandwiches no problem.

Never really liked the food, though. Often it was a matter of "the next bite is bound to taste better than the last one."
