Amazon Wank
So it seems that before Christmas Amazon had a DVD offer on boxsets - buy one get one free. Except they made a bit of a mistake and the lowest item was actually taken off twice. This resulted in, if you had two items of the same price, free DVDs.

As will happen people took advantage of this and people discussed whether that was ethical.

Skip forward to December 28th, and Amazon finally realises their error. All customers affected are asked to either return the boxsets unopened, or their credit cards will be charged the total price.

Aaaaand wank results People ask whether it's legal. Some people ring Amazon to complain. And some people sit proclaiming that it's all perfectly fine and serves folk right for taking advantage of it.

I recently counted my DVD box sets, and I'm up to 24, not including anime and the few at my parents' houses, 30 if you split the entire series of Buffy into it's seven seasons. Now, I don't claim to have a significant social life (and much of it does involve watching said sets with my friends), but I do manage to go to classes and do homework, and watch the bunch of them several times over. I also watch far less live TV, and I don't waste my time/money with movies, so it's just a matter of how you budget your time.

Sure, but did you accrue that number over a single holiday season? If he's not selling them, he's certainly stockpiling in case of a nuclear holocaust.
