[info]kitsunegari posts to [info]stupid_free about Britney Spears shaving her head. The resulting wank has nothing to do with the subject matter, but the fact that she signs her posts. (Small but spirited.)

Also, while I do sign my emails as -Beth-, I don't sign my LJ posts, unless I'm posting anonymously because I can't log in, and even then, it's jira_rd, not logged in or something.

-jira-

... I feel weird.

Same. I sign my emails (also '-Beth'!) but I think it's because I feel like I'm writing a letter when I send an email.

I sign my personal journal entries (to keep up with the 'journal' mentality), and I'll soon be signing the entries to one journal because of a special case. (long story short, DM from a D&D game thought it would be cool to have "very secret diaries" for all the characters, but since 5 out of 7 of the players don't use livejournal she's making a special one just for that which we're all gonna share. We'll have to sign, to show who is posting.) Other than that, and situations where you have to post anonymously, There's no real reason to sign posts other than to feel special.
