Things Get Shirty on Stupid_Free
... when a post about an 18 year old trying to get pregnant with her 28 year old fiance hits the comm. Cue lots and lots and LOTS of offensive and defensive wank about teenage pregnancy and/or marriage and/or age differences in relationships, with some squicky/hilarious/startlingly-thoughtful results.

This thread, featuring a man who met and was attracted to his girlfriend when she was 13 is especially creepy. We get aaaaaaaaall the interesting ones of LJ, donchaknow!

In junior year of high school, I was mistaken for one of the elementary school/junior high students that were touring one day (went to a boarding school) and got the crap scared out of me when one of their teachers grabbed my backpack handle from behind, yanked me into their line, and yelled, "WHERE do you think you're going?!?" In senior year, another group of kids selling school M&Ms hit on me.

Now, at 24: went into a building where an elementary school art class was starting up for the day. A teacher saw me from a distance and looked at me expectantly while giving me that one "kid" smile -- the one that, well, teachers give to little kids on the first day of class. (She stopped and skedaddled off when I came closer.) And waitresses in their late teens/early 20s have told me that my sketches are "VE-ry gooood! Wow!" The gap has only widened...

At least it's more funny than anything (except when the condescension reaches levels of jerkiness, especially from someone younger).
