Bad service in the ER?
[info]traumawolfe posts a list of Rules of the ER in [info]customers_suck. Complaints start at the first comment, where it is pointed out that s/he ripped off the list from another site. People also point out, at various points and in various ways, that some of the demands/complaints are irrational. Many personal anecdotes are invoked on both sides and I learn more about hemorrhoids than I wanted to.

Others defend the OP and there is discussion of exactly how bitchy a patient is allowed to be.

Eventually, the OP deletes her journal, but the post remains.

[info]stella4809 makes an off-topic post over here and people complain there as well.

And now I am more thankful than ever that I have never had a bad doctor I can recall.

I had all of one bad resident, who didn't write anything down, treated me as if I were a dumb little girl, and was generally annoying the life from me. Then - oh - then the physician asked him very cheerfully where his notes were. She then did the 'check=up run-down' with me instead of him, and he looked incredibly lost.

Sweet.

Hopefully, he got a clue, or he ain't gonna make it at that hospital.

I've been lucky too. Considering how often I've visited the ER? I've been treated well. Granted a few of those times I was transported via ambulance so I was going to get some attention, but still? Not so bad. I did have a jerk of an orthopedic surgeon once, but I can walk. The lack of friendliness and compassion is not such a big thing, he operated on me twice and I can walk. Woo.
