Bad service in the ER?
[info]traumawolfe posts a list of Rules of the ER in [info]customers_suck. Complaints start at the first comment, where it is pointed out that s/he ripped off the list from another site. People also point out, at various points and in various ways, that some of the demands/complaints are irrational. Many personal anecdotes are invoked on both sides and I learn more about hemorrhoids than I wanted to.

Others defend the OP and there is discussion of exactly how bitchy a patient is allowed to be.

Eventually, the OP deletes her journal, but the post remains.

[info]stella4809 makes an off-topic post over here and people complain there as well.

Oh! Can I do mine?!

1. Just because not all asthmatics have life threatening attacks doesn't mean I'm one of them. You have two folders worth of notes on me and I'm only 23, a clue perhaps?

2. I have a nebuliser; two in fact. I have been on steroids, followed by anti-biotics every time I got to the hospital, they are obviously not working. Giving me another nebuliser and sending me on my merry way is not going to cut it. The reason I'm in the ER is because I'm no longer getting relief from my neb. Don't give me another and act as if the problem is magically solved.

3. When my family starts to panic and ask for help (usually because I'm so out of it from lack of oxygen I can't do it myself) don't pull the 'no-one has every died of asthma thing on then.' You told them I was going to be a vegetable on one occasion. I think their concern is justified.

4. Rather than assume my mother has munchausen by proxy perhaps you should up my asthma medication and see if that solves the problem. Yes, it does seem unfortunate that my brother had glue ear and was 60% deaf but frankly I don't see how any outside influence could be responsible for that.
