Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
I checked the other comms, and I *think* this is the most appropriate one. Do tell me if I'm being a gigantic idiot, though, because it could easily also belong in I_wank, despite other people being bigger wankers.

Once upon a time, there was a happy little theatre society in the Netherlands. Most of the people in it were students, and everyone knew drama very well. Most of the people in it also have LiveJournals, so quite often there is some passive-aggressiveness in there.

Like this week.

Last week, the happy little theatre society had a few performances, and one of the actresses thanked our president for calling her an arrogant bitch who didn't know her lines behind her back.

The president writes about this in her LJ, and people from the theatre society discuss this in the comments section. A lot. President then decides to bah-leet all the comments and turn commenting off for that particular entry, hoping to sweep it all under the rug.

Normally, that'd be the end of it.

Well, you're wrong. Meet Mirudan, who was president last year, and he and Cherry have had their arguements over the last few years. He devotes an entire entry to Cherry and her oppression of free speech, and how this is silly, and how the comment (to her entry) he made was so fantastic that people called him to compliment him on it.

Ah, yes, probably should've mentioned that quite a lot of us in the theatre society are English Lit students ;).

Too bad this person hasn't learned that the fancier words are not always the most effective ones. "Dissent against my discourse?" Unwieldy and awkward. C-

"It's okay for me to use big words, I'm an EEEEEEEEEnglish major!"
"Not if you don't know how to use them. ::failstamp::"
