I have to side with the employee. Having had a larger, stronger partner who enjoyed leaving marks of that type, I know that sometimes, you can't control their placement and concealing them is more difficult than people think. No one needs to make rude or insensitive comments about a stranger's personal life.

As for the hickeys? Tacky, as lots of others have said; cover-up is a friend to people who like to enjoy themselves.

To people who get marks that look like hickeys, or people who got injuries that are obvious to the public eye, it is apples and oranges peeps!

If it looks like a hickey but isn't one, it's not the same as having a hickey, therefore doesn't deserve the insult? But if it's a hickey, they deserve the insult? Only if it's a hickey, though. Even though there's no way to know for sure...

Did I get that right?

Hickeys = She's a Slut! Only no... actually it's only proof that she got to first base with someone, though it does strongly imply that heavy petting above the clothes might have happened. I've known 12 year old vigins who sported hickies.

Hickeys look really ugly, and I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't want to cover them up somehow, much they way they would zits or other types of sores. Seems to me in the boat of sloppy grooming. Unless of course the chick really is hoping strangers are going to notice and be interested in the fact she's sexually active, in which case it's immature.

I don't know the OP's reasons for not covering them over, I'm not going to make any presumptions.
