Perhaps they should cut to the chase and just form a circle around [info]yuuo, chanting "whore whore whore."

-- and what brand of makeup are these people using? I wish I knew! I can never find any cover-up that both matches my skin tone and actually covers up. Especially not any that can withstand all the heat and steam at my workplace.

On the second count -- me too! Such coverups do not exist, especially for those of us who are so pale we make vampires look tan.

For me it's a choice between under-eye bags that make heroin chic look healthy or caked-on patches of jaundice. Makeup just doesn't work like photoshop for the real world, alas.

He/she who invents makeup that truly works like photoshop for all skintones? I will worship at her/his feet.

You too?

I'm not 'white', I'm translucent.

*has been dubbed fishbelly white*

I have actually made people flinch with how white my legs are when I've worn dresses before.

Given I've worn one dress in almost five years....

That's my shade of powder -- translucent. With SPF WhiteGirl6000 sunscreen. I've found tha L'Oreal is one of the few brands that makes a concealer light enough and strong enough(yay undereye circles!) for me. MAC also makes one, but it makes my skin irritated and isn't widely available in America. {*sadface*}

Since my mother is dark-skinned, she has remained convinced since my birth that I'm anaemic. Nope, just a fine example of recessive genes!

My skin is medium-toned and I tan easily, and I can't find coverup worth a damn that works on my face/neck, either. It just all sucks.

I don't have a problem matching my skin tone, especially since I generally avoid the sun and therefore don't tan much even though I could. But foundation was worthless when I was a teenager with acne, and even now it only evens out my skin color a tiny bit, so barely-visible spots disappear and my skin looks perfectly clear and even - from several meters away.

CoverGirl's "Fair" concealer is too tan for my skin tone 90% of the year. So I have to mix and shade, etc to get a decent look. Yet still, if someone is too close my makeup looks really bad.

DermaBlend? Allegedly it covers tattoos and is waterproof.

I want to know where they work if they can regularly afford to buy the stuff though.

I was thinking more the flood of people saying she should cover it up rather than the OP. I have to wonder if any of them have actually tried to cover a bruise with make up, they make it sound so easy. :P

I've got some...Physician's Formula stuff that's made to conceal marks. They make various colors that counteract off color in the skin. Mine's green to conceal red (yay monthly breakout), with some peachy colored stuff to help blend it in. A couple dabs of the green, a couple of the peachy, cover with mineral make-up and I'm good to go.

They make one to cover yellow (advertised for dark undereye circles), so blending the two would probably work on a hickey. Color theory for your FACE.
