I think all things considered such a commitment is a human ceremony and I would wager she was indiffrent but she stood there and rested her head on my knee. I would like to think she knew it was something special or atleast did it for me. I laugh when I look at the state of the world... we probibly take our marrage more serously than most people do looking at statistics anyway.

But I think what is important to her is when I share my coffee with her in the mornings, when I hug her after I get home every day without fail, the times she has slept with her head on my chest, when I canceled all my appointments and sat up all day with her because she had a sore hoof. The first time she broke into the house when I was sick and she stood by the bed, when she seeks me out when I am upset because she just knows and gives me a shoulder to cry on, me knowing just where that one itchy spot is she cant reach. In the end these are things that have meaning. If things like this dont make a relationship I dont know what does.

Its a long story but in many ways she saved my life just as I did hers in the begining I wouldnt know what to do without her

Actually, going from memory, its worse than that even.

His girlfriend, the human (essentially his bit on the side) was getting a bit arsy because he was expending most of his sexual energy on the horse ... and she, the human, would want sex the moment he came back from the barn because it made her aroused to think of he and ponywife being together ... or something ... and one of the reasons they were having relationship problems was because he accused her (the human) of being too demanding and clingy ... or something ... oh, and one of the reasons that he loved the wife more was because she wasn't as emotionally demanding and didn't disagree with his opinions.
