I didn't think leaving irregular change on a tip was a bad thing! Sometimes I kinda dump my change purse out, but only if it's a generous tip, not just a few cents. I asked a waitress once and she said she didn't mind, since she needed change anyway. And I almost always even out the money on debit or credit card purchases. Whoops.
