Hot cross bun wank.
Found on melbournemaniac, specifically this entry. An itty bitty wank about hot cross buns. nodine posts a poll asking if hot cross buns are lame or awesome.

'...and it's not like the cross on the top adds to the taste or is particularly... interesting? ('pointless').

I remember at one point, I think it was a radio station, ringing up bakeries to ask what the cross was made of since it appeared to do nothing. Just more dough, generally. I find them rather unpleasant. Beyond that they just... have. no. point.'

The part that really made it for me was in the comments:

'Maybe it's the taste of bland blind Christianity becoming rampant consumerist monotony and choking my spirit, dulling its flavour?'

How can a frigging hot cross bun make someone so angry?

Edit: [info]wankaholic has kindly pointed out that Nodine posted to stupid_free as well, outing herself as stupid but blaming it on an earlier wank in the same community.

Look, kids! It's the circle of wank, it spooges us all! Ew...

Malakian: Chocolate at Easter sucks. Ugh. It's the one time of the year that Cadbury fails.

GASP! Oh, no, you din't! Give me all the Cadbury Cream eggs in the world and I might be satisfied. Yum.

That being said, what really irks me is Nodine's attitude towards her mother bringing her Easter treats. Apparently her mother is putting a matriarchal strangle-hold on her via chocolate bunnies. The horror, the horror.

Is that a Black Rabbit of Inle icon? (damn, I fail at html diacritical marks). Huh, why didn't I realize I need to read Watership Down today?

Yep, that's him. One of the scarier bunny-rabbits on record.

Cadbury hate = lose.

Besides, tomorrow that means I get half-priced "crappy" chocolate. YAAY!

Incidentally, I had Hot Cross Buns in my head before I read this wank. No, I don't know why. *spooky premonition of wank*

Speaking as an American, I can frankly say that Easter is the one time that Cadbury succeeds. Seriously, why can't they branch out to delicious creme-filled Valentine hearts or Christmas trees at least so I don't have to wait 11 months for those few delicious weeks when they bust out the goods?

In general, Easter candy >>>>>>>>>> candy at any other time of the year.

Dude. I went to England on spring break and there was Cadbury chocolate EVERYWHERE. Apparently they have it all year round, too. Between that and Doctor Who, I'm beginning to seriously think that the UK must be the Promised Land or something.

Cadbury should seriously go the Peeps route and just consume all holidays. ::goes back to adding to her hoarde of eggs::
