Childfree vs Metaquotes vs Stupid_free vs 'George Carlin' of the Furry Internets
(moved from [info]clairvoyantwank

Over on Metaquotes</s>, [info]2_gryphon is quoted with an amusing -- and relatively benign -- retelling of his verbal sparring with an irate father.

And then a gleeful [info]featherypony happily comments that they'd love to share the post with [info]childfree.

Power Word: KNEE-JERK

[info]mayavada swoops in and lashes out at the OP and the mention of [info]childfree.

Ready. Set. Wank.

Enjoy!

Bonus: It's been reported back to [info]childfree.

And they're off!

EDIT: This wank report has been brought to you by four cups of coffee and all the jelly beans in my kid's Easter basket. *gibber* *gibber*

EDIT II: It's now made it to [info]stupid_free, [info]customers_suck, [info]cs_snark and [info]cf_snark

Good times

Wow. That's messed up.

The manager on duty wasn't perturbed at the loss of a $30 sale. She was like "for all you know, he WAS using a hot card and didn't want to get caught."

Basically, I was told it's better to refuse a sale with a belligerent customer who won't present ID. Because if the card turns out to be stolen? We're out the money anyway because the cardholder is not responsible for that purchase, as well as the merchandise. At least if the sale is refused, we still have the product to sell to someone else.

It was pretty messed up. Apparently I had more sense than the managers did.

See! You're manager? Has a functioning brain. It's more hassle than the 30 bucks is worth. I mean, honestly, 30 bucks at a store is pocket-change, but the merchandise comes out of overhead right? Like ultimately it'd be less profit, and that doesn't make the financial people very happy.
