More Cuteoverload wank
I can't believe this hasn't been posted yet.

Yesterday on Cute Overload a series of pictures featuring a fat tuxedo cat draped over a couch.

On the second comment involves how unhealthy it is for a cat to be so fat.

Over 400 comments later ranging from it's still a healthy weight for a cat, personal anecdotes, feline and human obesity and vegetarianism.

I think my personal favorite is

2. I don't want to get into the whole Darwin thing, but there is only about a 2% difference in our DNA and the DNA of monkeys. Monkeys are vegans.

My vet just told me to play with my cat more. :)

I did finally find the Perfect Toy for her, which makes her leap into the air and run like an insane thing about the room - a long pole with a string and a tassel on the end.

I've inadvertently made her run directly into the wall at full speed before. I laughed my ass off. :)

For my kitties the best toy is the Cat Dancer. Which is essentially a length of wire with a piece of cardboard on the end. I pull it out and they go nuts. Even better is my laser pointer and my calico kitty. I just pick the thing up and her eyes get soooo big and she start chirping she wants to chase the little red spot so badly.

I don't have a laser pointer right now, so I haven't tried my current cat on one. Mom's cat, when I had a pointer, was interested, made one grab for it and realized it wasn't real, and ignored it completely thereafter. XD

Well at first it was just a flashlight(she does the same thing when I grab the flashlight) and she falls for the dancing red spot that she can't grab every single time. It's great.

Chinese yoyos. My cat will run from wherever she is if anyone picks it up to play with it.

On the other hand, when she catches it, she wants to bend it all around and lie on it and bite it, which is not good for the PAPER it's made of. So I now have the habit of buying them whenever I see any.
