I wish I had a joke about drinking problems...
On stupid_free, [info]gridlore posts link to an account of an occasion where he, quote, "met rudeness with snark". Specifically, some black girl didn't want to sit next to anyone, tried to make him give up his seat-with an empty one next to him-and he made fun of her in a very House-like way. Everyone hastens to call BS. Incidentally, all little old ladies speak English, and GridLore doesn't get to complain because [info]thexphial's Jewish ancestors were lynched.

Please, no Irishbashing.
EDIT: Personally, I would've just gone "Yes." and kept on eating my Vanilla Frosty. Now at Wendy's!

Montreal is best visited in the summer, and for one reason: the food. It's incredibly easy to find delicious, cheap food in Montreal, and in the summer, there are loads of little cafes all over the place with outside teraces. Oh, and apparently we've got fashion and the Jazz festival and the Film festival as well, but I'm not as familiar with those. Um. But they're also in the summer! :D

The Maritimes are also a wonderful place in the summer, as long as you like whale watching and lots of scenery. I'm not familiar with the city side of the place, but from what I rmeember there's lots of small (lovely) towns, and tourism is a big thing there.
