I still want to know what would happen if we switched 'domestic violence' with 'child abuse' or 'racially-motivated attack'.

I'm fairly sure that anyone who claimed someone's potential drug use/legal status as a reason not to break up what would be deemed a hate crime would get flamed like we'd never seen before.
