[info]aria_star says in a thread in [info]inbetweenies On my mom's side, I'm a direct descendant of Pocahontas and of a black slave... thus making this officially the stupidest "I'm not racist but..." argument I've ever seen in my life. Mind you, the whole post is made of crazy, so there's more than just race wank, there's size wank too. Enjoy!

According to my grandmother, we're related to Daniel Boone. He would be my great-granduncle, I think. She says the Boones had more kids than they could afford, so they passed her father along to another family, which is why the different surname. I'm not sure of the veracity of this, but I pretend to believe it because the irony of my bookworm indoorsy self being related to Daniel Boone amuses me.

(Besides, my grandfather's a genealogy nut, so who knows?)
