That icon gives me an image of Katara writing Monica/Jeri femslash and hiding it from Aang and Sokka. Toph, of course, knows exactly what she's doing, but sees fit not to interfere, preferring to read the hastily scribbled pages secretly.

Katara would have to provide her with a braille version, but it'd be a small price to pay to buy her silence. Besides, it turns out that Toph is a great beta-reader, especially (and somewhat disturbingly) for the smutty parts.

I'm fairly certain Toph could, if she wanted to, read the story from the vibrations of Katara's pen scratching the paper.
