Sorta reminds me when I went to an environmental group and found them discussing how to convert people starving in third world nations to vegetarianism (their argument being that many of these people live and violent areas of the world and shouldn't be "traumatized" by having to witness the violent act of an animal being slaughtered for food.

I figure starving to death while watching potential meals walking around is more traumatic. "I know you're starving to death, but we're going to send you a few cans of soy beans. Don't eat the livestock!" Good luck with that people.

Not all environmental groups are full of that kind of batshit.
