Ha! I wish it were that simple. I really liked this girl for almost three years, and I never had the courage to ask her out. In the end I had to give up on it, because there was no friggin way I could mention it to her without ruining our friendship. And that would have been bad, seeing as how she is my DM. =(

Sometimes life just isn't as simple as you'd like to think.

Yeah. I am even as we speak trying to figure out whether to ask this guy I LARP with out. Because...hot, but LARP/same social circle, so it could get Really Awkward if things go wrong.

Also, sometimes I think a guy is kinda cute but don't really think about it until he asks me out, at which point I notice all kinds of hotness. And sometimes I have a major crush, but know that the guy in question has just gotten out of a relationship and don't want to rush things.

In conclusion: shut up, lapsarianchick.

Exactly. Sometimes you can't ask people out, if there's no garuntee that things will go back to normal if it doesn't work out. Has that girl never been in that situation?

And sometimes they ask *you* out, you say yes, and then have a panic attack and stand them up.

Luckily I didn't actually like him all that much.
