In apology for having to eat my hat, I present you this piece of work.

There was a meme that went around LJ. It measured your "coolness" factor, among other things.

The creator of the meme decided that it was too good an opportunity to pass up, and used it for unscrupulous purposes goatse.

People are unhappy, to say the least.

Edit: I should add that as of right now (1:38 AM EST), the post is still safe for work. I can't guarantee where the links in it might lead you to, though.

Don't worry, we can be new together (even though I've been on the 'net since Prodigy was a known ISP). It's a nice shiny feeling, isn't it?

My dad thought it was better than AOL, so I had to learn how to use it. I actually did prefer Prodigy, but AOL was easier to use. Plus, it was hard to keep up with the message boards.

When I was a wee tot, I used to do the Weekly Reader with my dad. Ah, father/daughter memories.

I started my Internet life on Prodigy. Back when 14.4kbs was fast and web browsers were new and strange.
