Godwin was a Nazi!
Over at the xkcd feed, [info]polyanarch informs us that he hates Godwin's law and all the sheep who follow it, and all comparisons to Hitler are inherently valid. Small, but amusing.

Also, bonus wank in which we're told that getting a hysterectomy means you aren't a woman anymore and people argue about who does or doesn't deserve abuse. (Warning: slightly nsfw icon in that thread.)

After reading the first few Transmet trades, I have to disagree. Spider is an asshole to pretty much everyone, deserving or not. He was MORE of an asshole to people who deserve it, but asshole is pretty much his standard state of being.

(He was also an asshole with morals and a social conscience, so he knew who NOT to say shit about.)

And on a more meta level, the comic deals out the consequences when he does screw up and heap shit on someone who doesn't deserve it. He gets called out and exposed as a petty jerk with a big mouth. It's part of what gives the story and the character so much depth. Ten volumes of Spider running around being an asshole to all and sundry and never having to deal with the consequences would get pretty tiresome.

Not that the people in question here would pick up such nuances.
