eBay drama that has nothing to do with eBay... WTF?
So, I'm looking at my friends list over on LJ, and jurhael/[info]psychofangirl posted a link to a seller she normally purchases stuff from. Normal enough, right?

Wrong! This happens to be a very special auction, for the seller is apparently offering photographs of her sister-in-law having an affair.

The auction info, saved for posterity:

(This is just a sample of the photos you will receive!)

Did the title grab your attention? Well, the story behind this auction is even better…

It all started back in 1995, when my husband divorced his now ex-wife. A few short months later, she married his brother. Not for love; but to ensure that she could forever make my husband’s life a living hell. Well, it worked well enough with my husband’s second wife; but now there’s a whole new player in the game. Obliviously, she hasn’t been privy to my tales of revenge and public humiliation of my enemies when I have had ENOUGH!

Recently, I became aware of the fact that she feels all my eBay activities, as well as my private life, are of her concern. So, I’ve decided to oblige her with information she has yet to discover and, in turn, make her personal affairs my concern. And everyone else's concern, for that matter!

A while back it came to light that she has been having an affair. Having prior experience as a private investigator and legal secretary, I put this knowledge to work and decided to gather the goods. Now that I’ve got double prints, I decided “Hey, she’s watching my eBay auctions. Maybe she’d be interested in bidding on them.”

The high bidder of this auction will receive quality prints exposing my husband’s ex/sister-in-law in the act of inappropriate marital conduct; hmm, hmm, INFIDELITY; aka Screwing Around On Her Husband. You get the picture (Literally, if you’re the high bidder!)

In the photos, you’ll follow the ex’s course through frequent meetings at the local Courthouse and various other places. You’ll get an up front and personal view of hands on _________ (use your imagination).

And guess what? I’m so willing to share my knowledge of this illicit affair; you don’t even have to pay shipping!

Questions? Email me. Sorry, names will not be released. And due to certain laws, I must keep myself legal, and names and location cannot be provided even to high bidder. But you sure will enjoy the pics!

HOW YA LIKE ME NOW!

On Jan-19-04 at 13:55:03 PST, seller added the following information:

Well, it seems that even though I put the least risque photos up, I'm still going too far. LOL So, I've taken them down. But if you want them, email me and I'll be glad to give you a preview!

On Jan-20-04 at 05:13:34 PST, seller added the following information:

Thanks to everyone for being so supportive of my efforts! I believe that my SIL has undoubtedly seen this by now as her number is already on my Caller I.D.! (That'll teach her!)

Thanks to those who suggested I include a link to where the pics are located. That's a great idea; but to make sure that I am well within legal limits, I'm going to stick to just emailing. You know, so she can't say I posted her pic on the WWW thereby causing her pain and suffering; yadda yadda yadda...again, you get the pic! I'm all too familiar with lawyers and their frivolous lawsuits.

Please be patient with me! I have received a ton of email requesting pics. I'll do my best to get them out to everyone who requested them.

For all you new wives out there with the pain in the @ss ex-wife to deal with, this auction was as much for you as it was for me!

On Jan-20-04 at 05:29:05 PST, seller added the following information:

One more thing I forgot to add...

Some emails I have received indicate that you are seeing this as beef with just a SIL and others of you see this as just an ex-wife problem.

Just to make sure everyone is on the same page, I want to clarify that this woman is not only my current Sister-in-Law, she's also my husband's ex-wife. SHE MARRIED MY HUSBAND'S BROTHER AFTER SHE & MY HUSBAND DIVORCED.

She is an ex-wife and sister-in-law. Like most ex-wives (I myself being one), she didn't just get on with her life and see my husband every other weekend, etc to exchange the child. Oh no, she had to remain in the family.

Look folks, we live in Tennessee, but even here this is weird! I've had mountain folk who've been to cousin weddings (really!) go "Ohh! What man would do that to his brother?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Jan-20-04 at 08:13:59 PST, seller added the following information:

Hey y'all....mission accomplished. I'm cancelling this auction because I've done what I set out to do. I think the lesson learned here is if you open Pandora's box you best be ready to deal with it.

Because of the legalities, I will not be emailing photos at this time.

Thanks to everyone for your emails and your support. You guys have been awesome! Feel free to copy this auction and send it to someone who needs a good life lesson.

Whether it's true or not... Jesus, I'd never want to be on the bad side of someone like that!

[Edited to add the seller's last bunch of revisions before she ended the auction.]

Oh lordy! O.O

There are only two bids on it, but it's still got to be stick in that sister-in-law's craw.

So she's actually SERIOUS about that? Woah. O_O

Also: I still need to finish FFX before moving on to X-2, but... Yay VNV lyrics! :D

That's what it looks like! HEE! The bid list is making me grin. :D

If it's a joke, it would be one hell of a joke! :D

I can't wait for you to get to FFX-2. It's worth it!

The bid list is making me grin. :D

No kidding! At first, I didn't quite understand what you meant by that, since I originally saw merely 2 bidders, but then I noticed that our own dear [info]shinkuu had joined in. I nearly died at that - silly boy. XD

Hee, I noticed it was you, actually - I just wasn't sure if you wanted the cred or not.

Then again, you and I've been friends for years, and knowing your character, I should've known you wouldn't mind AT ALL. XD

Yeah. And besides, it's not like the guilty part is trying to hide herself - she's selling these alleged pictures on eBay, for chrissakes! *snerk* XD

Anyway, I edited the post, just for the heck of it.

See, that's good old-fashioned American resourcefulness. No money for airfare to Chicago to go on Springer? Just post it all on eBay!

It's Barbora Kodetová as Chani from Dune. She's sporting a stylish yet practical desert travelling hat.

I liked it. It was pretty faithful to the book (as far as I remember the book). William Hurt was wonderful as Leto, and most of the other actors was really good (including the Emperor). Paul was not too annoying, Feyd was both hot and annoying (just right). Plus the hats were just too fabulous for words.

Major gripes
- Jessica went around with her belly out to there but nobody seemed to be able to figure out that she was pregnant
- They used these fluorescing contacts for the Fremen's eyes, and sometimes they were way too bright.
- Chani had the haircut from hell

Otherwise it was pretty damned cool.

Incidentally, one of the subject titles I WAS considering was something like "Springer goes eBay!", heh. But then I felt that would be giving too much of the humor away right off the bat. XD
