I was first struck by the horror of carnivorism when I held my infant niece in my arms and realized that she was roughly the same size, shape and texture as the animal that was about to be set before the family for dinner. Actually, it was more hunger than a horror of carnivorism –; what struck me was that she literally looked good enough to eat. I mimed taking a bite out of her plump leg and she laughed.
