Racist jokes are TEH FUNNY!
Over on [info]bad_service, [info]missysedai, who's husband is of Syrian descent, relays a tale of a worker at Lowe's offending them with a terrorist joke.

[info]friendhamster starts off the fun:
You get offended way too easily. Jokes are funny and not meant to be PC.

The world needs to stop having this huge stick up its ass and realise that political correctness has gone way too far. You can't even look at someone without offending them.

Most people tell her off; [info]megan_julca tangles with [info]friendhamster and posts a screenie of [info]friendhamster's profile. Apparently [info]friendhamster hates everyone. And her loving nickname for her dog is 'niggerdyke'.

I just love those edgey types, they're so unique on LJ *tear*

ETA: She's now throwing out the old 'my account was hacked' chestnut. Thanks [info]hysteria for the heads up!

It's the Southern equivalent, I think.

It sure can be. In the American South, to bless someone can mean anything that whoever is saying it (usually a very sweet woman over the age of 40) wants it to mean, and they'll always say it in the exact same tone of voice, whether they actually mean, "aw, you poor thing" or "God, you're an idiot". Or anything in between.

It's the perfect polite insult down here, because unless you know all the nuances of the person saying it, you have no idea whether they're paying a compliment, pitying you, or snarking you.
