Become a wanker, learn to tuck.
You may (probably not, but you may) remember a lovely little lady named [info]nokomarie from this bit of i_wankery in days of yore. She is back at it in all her pretentiously batshit glory in [info]little_details, in a charming little display of transphobia, wordwank, and accusing a mod of trolling her own community.

It starts when [info]coloredink asks a question about erections and tucking - can you get one, does it hurt, etc. etc.. (Beware - NSFW images!) One member helpfully provides photographs, which is
where the trouble starts.

[info]nokomarie: Um. Well, that explains "Miss Saigon". I shall go in my corner now and whimper in total confusion over why a person wouild lie so in the first place.

[info]salzara_tirwen: Or you could go ask a drag queen/crossdresser/transperson, except without using rude words like "lie".

The wank here peters out, because [info]nokomarie is apparently referencing not tucking in general but specifically, like, M. Butterfly or something, and people generously drop it. So you'd think it was over, right? But no! She had to go and call tucking "shenanigans" and the shit starts to fly.

Witness! Nokomarie is better than you peons because she is a nurse, she doesn't have to respect other people's gender identity because she's stressed from work and her husband is ill, apparently the mod is a troll now?, and a tiny but hilarious bit of awesome in this exchange.

It's not the biggest wank, but it's proudly strutting its stuff down the wankwalk.

FAIR WARNING: Fill up my email inbox with comments all about your thoughts on trans, and I will rip out your still-beating heart and make a casserole with it.

I had a slightly different take on both M. Butterfly and Boys Don't Cry which was that the 'deceived' party was quite happy to be deceived and although they may have suspected the truth they didn't actually want to know because it would tell them things about themselves that they weren't ready to face. It was also in their interests to claim that they had been fooled, incredible as it may sound, because not to have been fooled would have made them just as guilty/culpable (at least in the eyes of the other characters) as their trans lover(s).

Maybe it's too many years of reading about murderers with innocent wives, but the defence of "But I didn't know" always makes me slightly suspicious. Didn't know? Or didn't want to know?

Other than that, I got nothing.
