Roadkill is serious business!
Over at Found Magazine, today's find is a picture of a couple posing with a dead deer. First commenter Sara hits the nail on the head with "Well, that's fucked up." But then the comments get more and more batshit. For example:

THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT OKAY. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT I WANT BAD THINGS TO HAPPEN TO THOSE TWO PEOPLE - THE WORST OF THE WORST. MAY THEY LIVE IN COMPLETE PAIN THEIR ENTIRE LIVES.

What if someone did that to their grandmother? Would it be funny then? What if someone did that to their daughter? Would you all crack jokes?

And so on and so forth. I don't know what's funnier, the constant talk of how the girl will get "panty crickets" from sitting on the dead deer, or commenter "I'm in love with animals", who insists that the deer is being sexually abused: "sexual abuse after death.. what's that called?? necrophilia? (something like that.. that girl is a necrophiliac)" Ooookay.

I can only guess that these people would not like the photos I took of my cat's artistic arrangement of the remains of her mouse kill. She was an artist, that cat. Once she had the rat's feet coming out of its own ear. Once she just left a face and some kidneys. Bizarre.

And I remember the photo I took of the spot where my eldest cat killed a mouse. Complete with chalk outlines of where the murder took place. *nods nods nods*

Heh, when my mom used to breed and show Siamese, we had one. Catamatic's Pointman.

And for those that recognise the name, yes he was named for an obscure Jack Scalia syndicated show, which may have been the source of his problems. Sweet, beautiful, dumb as a post. And he'd PAT mice to death, so every once in a while while moving furnature, you'ld find these little dried fuzzy mice pancakes.

And I'm still convinced that if they ever get opposable thumbs, they'll kill us all in our sleep..

It's a constant source of thanks for my mother, actually, that our cats can't open doors.

Imagine if they ever develop actual fingers?!

I could see a whole new breed of macros filled with kitties flipping the camera off.

Didn't somebody already make a cat flipping off macro?

I've seen one flipping off macro, but I'll be damned if I can find it. I did, however, find a (shopped) picture of a cat flipping the camera off. (I'd macro it if my brain hadn't melted from the heat.)

Glad to know I'm not the only weirdo who's intrigued by cat behaviour, even the gory side of it. :D
