There's a post in [info]stupid_free about people defending the terrorist actions of an animal rights group.

The stupid shows up to defend itself, and wank explodes. Way too much wank to link to.

I have slightly more sympathy for people who come to a university cafe wanting vegan food than people who walk into a random restaurant expecting it -- because as students of the university, the cafetaria is theoretically there to provide them with food so that they don't have to deal with the hassle and expense of trying to cook for themselves in a dorm room.

True enough. University menus need help. You know it's reached a critical level when you deep fry broccoli.

Also, you get the occasional fun incident in which, say, a meat dish is labeled "vegan" on the grounds that it doesn't have any dairy in it.

(Methinks the dining hall employees were a bit unclear on the concept.)

The DC over at Haverford, I think. Oh, how I *facepalm*ed when I heard about it.

Oh, that explains *everything*. It was Haverford. I am not surprised.

Amazing, isn't it, how two colleges can technically share the same dining service, and yet have such a disparity in food quality?

Well, to be fair, the wage slaves dining hall workers at Bryn Mawr have to eat their own cooking, after all. Also, the full-time employees at Bryn Mawr are that much more awesome. Arthur and Shawna FTW!

Londell also FTW! "Shake it down, break it down. It's all good!"

Hahaha. I'd say that this was something my college would do, but they took their activism way too serious businessly to make that kind of mistake.

No, the sort of thing they would do would be to declare a 'No Paper Cups -- Use The Mugs!' campaign... on the same day the cafeteria washing machine broke and we had no mugs...

Trufax. On Fryer Fridays, our dining hall would throw *anything* in the deep-fryer. I never imagined you could deep-fry carrots.
