I'll never get over a video made by the Animal Liberation Front in Russia, where they broke into a place that was breeding ferrets and released them into the wild.

Not realizing, obviously, that ferrets are thoroughly domesticated and can't survive in the wild. They're not even like dogs or cats -- as far as I know, there's *never* been a feral colony of ferrets.

So, yeah ... they just sentenced all those cute-faced ferrets to a nasty death. *cries*

	Better yet, those were all BABY ferrets, just barely weaned, and certainly unable to fend for themselves without a parent to teach them to hunt. And all released in the same place, to compete for food. Brilliant. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	Aw, man. And someone needs to tell the California Dept. of Fish and Game that thing about them being super-tame already. Or print out enough copies to fill a large binder that could be used to hit them over the head with. Hard. /is not bitter over ferrets still being illegal in her state, why do you ask? 	There is the American black-footed ferret, which is so endangered you're supposed to report any sightings in the wilderness. Cute little fellas, though. (Reply to this)(Parent)
