My wankings, let me show you them.
OK, even yours truly is busy over where the REAL wank is happening tonight, but I may I bring you a smallish [info]cat_macros wank, a palate-cleanser? Nothing too hysterical yet, but it's probably one to watch in case you get sick of the Harry Potter wank.

Over on [info]cat_macros someone posts a cheeky macro. Very slightly NWS if you work at the Vatican(No nudity, but the caption is a little bawdy).

[info]ebneter (not a mod, apparently just a Concerned Netizen), wants it cut-tagged and warned for in case anyone is reading their flist at work.

[info]einheitstochter (not the OP) tactfully and verbosely expresses polite surprise at [info]ebneter's request. A similar sentiment is echoed with even more diplomacy by [info]ladylynx.

We've seen it all before, no?

"If you're reading LJ at work you deserve to get in trouble!"

"Did I say *I* was in trouble?"

"This is not a worksafe community anyway!"

"Think of the CHILDREN!" (presumably the ones reading LJ, while they're at work)

And...There be macros WITHIN the macro wank. </a>. Will it go on forever, replicating over and over, like a fractal?

Legs are NSFW? Or should not be seen by parents/small children? Where do these people live?

It's obviously the lewd look on that cat's face.

They are fs! In certain fonts they look like fancy curly esses. Granted, not this one.

Heh, I remember this scene from "The Vicar of Dibley" when Alice (the verger) was reading from a very old Bible and pronouncing all the "s"es as "f"s. The vicar understandably cut her off when she got to "the Lord is my succor." :-)

I'm pretty sure that in the old script, S's only got converted to fs when in the middle of a word; not at the start or end.

The "You know what else is not safe for work?" macro is made of pure win... XDXDXD

It always amazes me that a comm about cat macros can be so wanky. They're amusing pictures of cute creatures with humourous text pasted on them. What the hell could have gone wrong, there?

I support putting NSFW content behind a cut. But the qualifier is, it should be ACTUALLY not safe for work. Not, y'know, not-safe-for-the-convent.

That marco made me giggle like a school girl. I fail to see how it isn't safe. Most kids (I hope) wouldn't get it if they're under a certain age and someone in passing at work is going to be more concerned with you farting around on LJ than what you're looking at unless it's porn.

Y'know, that may possibly increase your chances of getting a job... Unless you're subbing pants for a skirt. But where's the fun in that?

Unless I'm very much mistake, turning up in my knickers might give the male employees unrealistic ideas as to how much fun they can have with me. So, while it might get me a job, it might also cause a small amount of bloodshed...

Ahhhh, well, as I mentioned over on [info]cat_macros (here), I have no idea where my brain was on Friday. But when I find out, we're gonna have a little chat...

I am, however, still amused that people don't realize that there are workplaces where, you know, reading your friends-list is not a big deal.

Um. Did they not notice that the subheader on the comm banner is "Post Some Fucking Cats?" I mean, by the OP's logic the entire comm is therefore NSFW.

[info]queencallipygos

On the one hand, I actually see what about that macro is making someone scream "NSFW" -- not the picture, but the text itself (because the joke is a riff on "pussy", nudge nudge, wink wink).

On the other hand -- we're talking about a community where the mod's default icon is a picture of herself posing with a male sex toy, so I don't see what the big deal is.
