LOLZ!11!VEGANZ!1!!
Over on metafilter there is a post about the vegansexual movement, i.e. vegans who will only have sex with other vegans.

Cue the LOLZ!!11!VEGANZ!! comments by the dirty omnivores beginning to drop in.

But we all have our standards for sex partners, so it's okay, right? Well no, not if it's a vegan standard. Then it's back to raping LULZ!!! But predictably/unfortunately it doesn't stop with the LULZ. Cue the vegans comming in defending their beliefs and the omnivores calling them stupid and defending their bacon.

YOUR MOM IS STUPID TOO!

SHUT UP YOU UGLY HIPPIES!

ALL OMNI_WHOREZ ARE LIKE CANNIBALS/SMOKERS/ANTISEMITES!

ALL VEGANS ARE INSANE PREACHING FUCKTARDS!

Well, the ususal.

The second half off the 300 comments derails a bit into: YOU DON'T KNOW THE HISTORY OF POVERTY! I DO! And it all ends in tofu recepies.

Not top notch funny (much, much more funny than the abortion wank a few days ago, though *shudders*) but both sides are flailing/failing all over each other so much, it's worth a point and laugh, me thinks.

*goes to get herself some bacon; dies a virgin* ;_;

There is something about comparative dietary discussions which almost invariably brings both the mild lulz and the brainhurty, and this is no exception.

(My favorite is the person who talks about how they go to great lengths to avoid imposing their picky eating habits on others, then implies that refusing to date someone for meat-eating is A) imposing your beliefs, and B) nasty discrimination. It took me a couple of minutes to work the logic there out in my head.)

You know what I think happened? After we had our mature, friendly, "oh my god we're actually way more similar than we ever thought!" discussion on meat and the eating of, the universe cried out, and this was born as a result. To set things back in their proper order and balance.

. . . Yeah, actually, that sounds about right.

Any time a meat eater and a vegetarian find out that they have almost identical philosophies about meat and animal rights, and just go about them differently, God kills a kitten and forces a vegan to eat it.
