I hope all the people who're insulted by the implication that having a vagina makes you female are also raging against ladies'/women's toilets.
"Essentially, there's a concern that when VPers start off their posts with something like "hey, girls" or "hey, ladies," it can be alienating to readers who don't identify as girls or as ladies."
Oh no, we can't possibly address a community by the gender of the majority of its members. And how many people would complain about "hey, guys" at the start of a post?
