Her family finds this unreasonable, because she had just had her tonsils out and couldn't have eaten the free chips, etc. Yes, the policy is on the menu, but the type is tiny. 	(The issue is that in tex-mex restaurants, they give you a lot of free shit for the table and often charge people who don't order. She's complaining because she couldn't eat the stuff they wanted to charge her for. I'm not justifying it, but a lot of restaurants do that.) (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	But it's still sort of a good argument. If she didn't eat anything at all, why is she the one having to pay? Why not just split the charge and tack it onto the tickets of the people who did eat chips? (Reply to this)(Parent)

I wouldn't normally care, but I was in so much pain (day 7 & 8 suck, btw) and the very idea of eating a chip or salsa was completely out of the question. I understand the fee, but I was pissy because I really WANTED those things and couldn't eat them, so being basically accused of lying by the waitress when my mom said I had eaten nothing really got on my very last nerve.
