[info]neknockouts posts in various Boston communities about a haircut business involving scantily clad women. Or, as [info]organizedfamine calls it, "Hooter's for hair salons."

This goes over really well.

(Credit to [info]arrowintwolakes for gathering links in the [info]redsox community so that I didn't have to do any more work than the OP apparently did.)

I can't get over the original posting in [info]davis_square. DAVIS SQUARE! Of all the places in the Boston area...he picks Davis for his first post? Does he even live in Boston?

Epic lulz indeed!

I'm guessing no.

Twit in response to "Have you even been to Davis Square?"

Thanks for the input. I have been to Davis Square, although I can't say I hang out there. I'm looking at possible locations more from a demographic population standpoint. On paper, the population size and other demographic data certainly support the business. However, there are other intangibles such as mood of the town (perhaps that's part of what you were referring to) that would for or against the business. Could you elaborate on why you think it's completely wrong for the neighborhood. Thanks so much..."

Someone suggests that he open in a less crunchy granola location.

Could you elaborate a bit on what you mean by less "crunchy granola" parts of town. Thanks...

Oh yeah. BRILLIANCE

I think he should set up shop right next to Diesel, just for the lulz.

I know!

Leaving the stupidity of the entire franchise aside, the average male hairstyle in the area can be summarized thusly: lush and flowing.

See, I have no problem with the franchise...but yeah. Davis? Not where you go for a haircut.

If you really want to be on the Redline, go for Harvard or Kendall: the college student market will go because it's campy, if nothing else.

I'm having a very hard time picturing Haircut Hooters in Kendall...but Harvard, maybe.

Harvard I can see. Kendall would be nothing short of hilarious.

Harvard Square? Really? I can't imagine it finding clients there. The students are going home for hair cuts, going to Great Cuts or (if they have money), going to one of the chi-chi salons. The people who work there...no. The suburbanites and tourists who come through are either looking at historic Harvard crap, or are pretending to be punk in the pit.

I really would see it much more on the blue line somewhere, but if it had to be on the red line, I can only think of Harvard. *doesn't go beyond South Station much*

It would be kind of awesome if they set it up in South Station, though.

This whole thing is making me want to move to Boston. The lush and flowing hair the most. *sigh* Damned short hair cuts on boys.

I'm with the people who want to see the Diesel Cafe dykes weigh in on this. Maybe have the Rosebud Cafe chicks throw in for good measure.

p.s. I LOVE MY ICON RIGHT NOW.

They'd either picket the shit out of it or be its best customers. Either way.
