I swear, Olga and her boyfriend provided much hilarity. *L* I can't get mad at Olga, because she was oh so earnestly proud of me, when I first had sex. And I couldn't get mad at her boyfriend (then) because he was black and Egyptian and the hottest thing I had ever seen. And I may or may not have gotten to see his peen. Umm.

Oh god! And that just reminded me of another funny Olga/Carolyn ~~OTP~~ story. We all went to school at Brandeis, which is a twenty minute train ride from Porter Square, so we were just west of Boston. Carolyn had grown up in Mattapan, which is on the south east side (I think). So pretty far from her house, but really close by college standards. During her senior year of highschool, this young (23 I think, maybe 24) physics teacher had started at her school. Carolyn had had a crush on him, he might have liked her, but she was in school then, so that was a big no-no. She still talked to him though, and she went to visit with him. And fooled around a little, because I guess he had liked her too. So she comes home and tells the two of us all about it. She then goes out to see him again and comes home again. In the interim, Olga had gone off somewhere, but left a large note written in Sharpie taped to the door to their room:

CAROLYN YOU BIG SLUT, HOW WAS PHYSICS?

It was hi-larious, let me tell you. Carolyn comes in, closes the hallway door, sees the note, and proceeds to slide down the wall. I died laughing. Incidentally, Carolyn also had the same response when she walked in on Olga and her friend watching gay porn.

It wasn't a big one like the one that (I think) went down last year in Ziv. There was one time where someone (I think one of the not-freshman in one of the singles) found a spider on her towel and promptly chucked the towel in the hallway. They left it there for a bit and someone set it on fire and there was another time where someone set some of the hall posters on fire. Neither of them were big things, but we just liked the way that "Gordon 2, we survived the fire" sounded cool *L*

But aww, freshman ♥ It's funny, on Thursday at work I realized that Brandeis classes had started. Do they still have USEMs and all that junk? I had mine with Koloski-Ostrow, who is a riot and a half (and more than slightly batshit crazy) and it was "Greeks bearing gifts into the future."

If you're standing in Gordon, is Cable the one on the left that's perpendicular? My best friend freshman year lived on the first floor there, in the corner by whatever that is that's parallel to Gordon. I used to hang out down there all the time when I was doing laundry *L* I even ended up being his roomie's Shabbas Goy once or twice.

And random piece of unsolicited advice: While I never ate at Sherman past the early part of sophomore year (points = ♥), you should definitely make a hot waffle sundae and split it with your roomie.

	Hahaha. We'll more likely than not have a fire at some point in time. We still have USEMs, but now we also are required to take a UWS. "Greeks bearing gifts" was all filled up by the time I got to it, unforch, but they're all neat classes. Thanks for the waffle advice. (Reply to this)(Parent)

Are you in one of the real triples with a sink? I had a friend who was living in one first semester our sophomore year, but then they all got shuffled down to Ziv when The Powers That Be decided that they wanted to a) start a midyear class and b) cram them into sophomore housing (otherwise I would have had a sweet dingle all the way at the end of Pom 5).

Is it hella hella loud in the castle now? I went up there in like, June or so to visit my old boss (in the slide library, down by the museum and the theater) and saw them excavating out the back chunk of the whole science complex. My first thought was that that construction's going to suck for people in the Castle and possibly all the way to East. My second thought was that the drawings look way too much like ~~Revenge of the Shapiros Part Nine: This Time It's Fucking Hideous~~ the campus center and one of those buildings is more than enough.

I always thought that it was kind of neat that I could see a castle from my chem lab ♥

As soon as I read your story, I was like, "That happened to at least three of my friends in their freshman year..." (Although most of my friends were in forced triples.) Then I realized you were at Brandeis, and freaked out. XD

Our triple lacks a sink, but we have a trapdoor in the floor leading to a service tunnel. I'm dead serious. We sent one of my roommates down in her chem lab protective gear, and we can't yet see the end. (Dingle in Pom? Oh man, that would rock. I enjoyed my Massell dingle enough - my roommate up and told me one night that I was too messy and she was leaving. It was all very WHAT.)

Thankfully, I haven't heard the science complex construction at all. I haven't even seen them doing as much as they were last semester, although I can't use the path behind the science buildings to get to the castle anymore. And yeaaaah... if we get another Green Monster up in here, I'm going to seriously wonder about these Shapiros. Taking over Brandeis with awful designs? Perhaps.

I'm loving living here in the castle thus far... although I sort of broke the microwave in the common room earlier tonight. I'm going to tell my CA that it was like that already. *whistles*
