If I knew you were wanking, I'd have iced a cake
Over in [info]hp_britglish, schemingreader makes the mistake of asking what the stuff you spread on top of a cake is called. Hint: It ain't "frosting".

[info]oncelikeshari thinks that butter icing is evil and wrong and should be stopped, or that it doesn't exist. I'm not entirely sure.

Either way, I want cake. :(

Short, but sweet.

That's passover candy? I eat it all year round. Then again, I like chocolate.

They're specially made marshmellows, because the normal kind are made with corn-syrup.

I know, we just have them all the time here. I'm surrounded by Jews, OK?

Lucky bastard. ;_; Where I live, the supermarkets get confused really easily and put out Hannukah stuff along with the Passover stuff and vice versa.

This is a pretty Jewish-intensive area but I can't say much for the holiday displays themselves (a bunch of matzo and grape juice for Passover, a bunch of noodles and grape juice for the rest). But there is tons of kosher goodness in other sections of the store, so I have no complaints.

Ours puts out round challah for Pesach. I don't understand how they haven't figured out why it always winds up on the day-old rack.

That would be Kosher-Cola?

(Sorry it is one of my favourite puns.)

You're probably right. I just associate it with Passover because that's when I have it. :D
