And now for something completely different. (Else, why you shouldn't write wank reports at 1:47 am)
The theater of war: Slashdot a veritable breeding ground for spitting hate, pseudo-intellectual discussion, and whining about how generally, things suck.


Cue a post about the Washington State Linux User Group's little idea of a Nerd Auction, a certainly lovely idea, and apparently one that was come up with in the shower by the group leader: Ben.

All is fine and well, until anonymous shows up.


Apparently for somebody out there, the accusations of the anonymous, (and possibly the not so anonymous burntpenguin) hit a bit close to home, and are srs buisness.

And then for bonus points, the ex-fiancee of Ben the leader shows up.

No godwin's law invoked yet though. I'm pretty sure it's there somewhere.

Everyone in that is stupid. I actually LIKE my men nerdy/geeky. Sending them off to be humiliated by a sorority doesn't seem like a helpful idea.

Excluding the Anth department, which is so very atypical, and the Ag school, which lives in a time bubble at about 1906, the whole of Pullman is pretty much made up of extreme parodies of academic archetypes. The sorority girls are so very blonde and vacuous, and the nerds are ten times nerdier than elsewhere.

"anonymous" is also pissed because the court lowered the amount of support owed her (which is not past/going unpaid). (BTW - "anonymous" is deliberately NOT capitalized.)

Those nerds might have a better shot clandestinely selling themselves to frats. Lord knows Eastern Washington and WSU are filled with boys just waiting burst out of their closets.

All though a part of me wonders why they just didn't go to UW. WSU really isn't the school for nerds. It's really the exact opposite, unless those nerds can play football and shotgun a Pabst in less than fifteen seconds.
