And now for something completely different. (Else, why you shouldn't write wank reports at 1:47 am)
The theater of war: Slashdot a veritable breeding ground for spitting hate, pseudo-intellectual discussion, and whining about how generally, things suck.

Cue a post about the Washington State Linux User Group's little idea of a Nerd Auction, a certainly lovely idea, and apparently one that was come up with in the shower by the group leader: Ben.

All is fine and well, until anonymous shows up.

Apparently for somebody out there, the accusations of the anonymous, (and possibly the not so anonymous burntpenguin) hit a bit close to home, and are srs buisness.

And then for bonus points, the ex-fiancee of Ben the leader shows up.

No godwin's law invoked yet though. I'm pretty sure it's there somewhere.

I think they may have graduated passed that. My friends who go there decided that a great way to spend a Saturday night was to purchase a giant sling shot and fire giant globs of shaving cream around campus, on very cowboyish vehicles, and vehicles currently being occupied by more than one person.

Highly immature, of course, but then again I want to go visit them and stamp out little crude crop circles in the seas of wheat. It might be our small town mentality that has cultivated our vivid imaginations since there's virtually nothing exciting to do in small Eastern towns, that mindset certainly isn't shared by my UW friends who grew up around the Seattle area. Ehe.
