My cat had a beyond-lion cut. He survived just fine. He even was more playful because he no longer had mats and burrs in his fur. And carrying him around was like carrying a baby because of the body heat. His hair's mostly grown back and it's been mat-free because I was able to sort of get his brushing-phobic self used to being brushed daily.

The only problem is I realized the bathtub he was pouting in looks really scummy dirty - but it's the local water supply, it's got a ton of dolostone in it and keeping it off one's sinks and tubs and toilets is a never-ending battle. So it's Preston on my bed instead.
