Oh noez! I can has wankburger plz?
A post in the I Can Has Cheezburger livejournal feed has exploded in wank, because everyone knows lolcats are serious business. Apparently lion cuts for the kitties is a hot button controversial issue, so is what is and is not cool.

We've got douches, ignorant sluts, asses, and Comment Patrol Officers. And also your cat looks retarded.

So anyway, what are your thoughts on shaved pussy?

The sum total of elementa's posts: I don't care how many of you tell me that shaving like that is for the cat's own good. I say it's stupid and wrong, therefore you're all wrong.

I feel the sudden urge to copy-paste her post to the "print and use for kindling at Pennsic" document file. Right there with the Mary Sues and badpr0nfic, only with epic levels of dumb attached.

Yup! And next year, I will try to hold a burning in effigy of wank and ass-haberdashery, with a marshmallow roast to follow.

Awesome. I've only been to a handful of events, and the events themselves seem fun, but I usually feel lost at any kind of thing like that unless I can volunteer.

Oh, believe me. Pennsic staff will LOOOOOOOOOVE you. Chirurgeons always needs Scribes (paperwork people), Troll always needs help, Security, Waterbearers, Children's Point, the Heralds...

Most folks at Pennsic are too hungover by day to be much good for volunteer work. I've been doing scribes since I was 15, before they made the age limit 17 or so (I think). If you decide to fork over the cash to get in and stay, please volunteer! And come by Chirurgeons and say hi if you see the name "Sciath" on the shift board!

I live in Canada, I don't think I can afford to go down there, but when I was at Murder Melee, I always volunteered for something, the first year I was there, I was a water bearer for the melee, and one of the in-charge people kept wandering around, asking people to admire his jugs. He was a hoot. The second year, I saw a strong breeze knock down a metal pole, smacking a merchant who was setting things up, and I helped pick it up (along with about six other people) and wound up sticking around to help them unpack. I got a free apron-thing out of it. I also helped out the Chirurgeons who were at the covered table by melee, and distributed fruit and water to the melee people. One of my friends is a herald, which is why I go to these things. It's hilarious to listen to him yell, and I keep his girlfriend company (who is also my friend) while he's off yelling at people.

Well, if you ever happen to be down Atlantia way, drop me a line. I'm in Richmond (Caer Mear)!

I feel the pain. No matter how much it rains/how hot it is and no matter how often my fiance reminds me how miserable I was, I go back every year.

Ooh, Pennsic. Someday when I am all growed up (by which I mean "can afford a week-long event"), I am so going to Pennsic. It's like the mystical Holy Grail of events in my mind.

I like how she also knows for a fact that the cat was shaved for teh lulz and not for mats. Because that's the only reason anybody would take a picture of a cat that they'd had shaved. EVER, don't aregue, because she knows! Also, you are insulting her.

Or even, you know, because it was incredibly hot and the cat was a serious longhair. Mine was the happiest I'd seen her in days when I finally caved and cut her a buzzcut last July. For one thing, she stopped trying to merge with the air conditioner.

UGH. By the time I got to the end of that thread, I kind of wanted to punch her in the teeth. :/ Rarely does such bullheadedness get under my skin, but she really rubbed me the wrong way.

I have gotten so used to the Gaston/Belle icon that it doesn't faze me anymore. In fact, I'd probably be more weirded out by seeing Gaston with his actual face now. o.O

A little more on-topic...it was annoying as hell, especially when the poster tried to turn it into "you misinterpreted what I was saying!" Jeez.

--kilraaj, who will never look at Disney the same way again after wank comms

Plus a random one-off dismissal of all anime. She sounds like a lovely, non-judgemental sort of person, don't you think?
