Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:cow rape, schools, veganism

Go off in the corner with your roast beef sandwich, while we build a better World.
Meanie cow-raping school district fires bold rebel for secretly teaching veganism in art class, instead of, um, art.

The former teacher, Dave Warwak, leaves no news article combox untouched in his quest, under the name inslidedotcom.

"teach them how Artists shape and guide morals in society With this knowledge, they can deal with the real world Use their art to create positive change Live longer Heal the earth I model what I teach I have been railroaded Posts removed You celebrate I appeal You pay Meat and Dairy laughs I cry"

Poetry.

And as his combox name might suggest, he has a website.

Yes, this is the man I want to teach MY children about art.

Edit: I turned off comment notification (ow, my inbox) so if anyone has any links to this guy wanking elsewhere (since he's wanked in two news articles at least, I'm sure there's more and will be more) please drop a comment in [info]joye's journal and I'll edit the post. Thanks.

“You say it’s my personal choice, it’s not a personal choice when you’re ruining my planet and you’re eating my friends.”

Oh Warwak, they haven't been eaten; they merely defriended you.

One long, long page with seven zillion topics divided from one another by bars: Check

Bars aren't graphics or HTML hairlines, they're just rows of dashes: Check, extra credit

All text centered: Check

Random out-of-context quotes: Check

Author of web site quotes himself: Check

Plentiful photos of nothing in particular: Check

Lavish use of religious sources of slightly less credibility than the Principia Discordia: Check

All he's missing are multiple font changes, CAPSLOCK OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and a glaring yellow or lime-green background.

*checks out his secondary website*

...Okay, all he's missing is a glaring yellow or lime-green background.

Okay, when I first saw that collage (before reading the wank), I thought this was gonna be some doofy kid who's just learning how to use photoshop. It's horrible! Agenda aside, how did he get to be an art teacher?

This reminds me of a math teacher I had in HS. He liked giving long political rants, and patting kids on the back for being conservative because conservatism is, apparently, "dying out." And then got shocked when the non-conservative and conservative kids questioned his statements or wanted to get back to, you know, math. Because, even if he didn't teach it, he'd still test us on it and blame our parents if we didn't understand it.

He was right up there with the teacher that would knock us down a letter grade if we accidentally wrote "mankind" instead of "humankind."

Now where were these school administrators when my middle school biology teacher posted up large and graphic posters of dismembered cows with a "Murder King" logo next to them that rendered me unable to enter a Burger King to this day without feeling ill?

Or when she had us do a 'vegetarianism vs. meat eating' debate and handed out "meat's no treat for those you eat" stickers and wound up making the rest of the class mock us and disfigure their stickers into "meat's a treat"?

Ah, well. Small price to pay for going to an Oak Ridge school.

“Thanks to compassionate people and their extensive connections all over the world, animal rights groups, vegetarians, vegans, and humane educators will be passing out business cards to children wherever they may be.” Warwak adds, “Groups are hitting the streets, during times when children are most likely to be out and about. Groups are already planning on a full force presence on Halloween. Even vegans who stay home will be passing out vegan candies accompanied by a message of love.” Then Warwak proudly proclaimed, “So far today, I passed out 34 cards!”

Just what I need with my candy - crazy Vegan business cards to go with the crazy chic tracts we get from the fundie couple down the street.

(They are so getting TPed.)

The business card’s front reads:
Remember the Santa Claus lie?
One lie is so bad, some people prefer to keep it hidden.
So hidden, some never find out!
Do you want to live a lie?

The back reads:
Go to your favorite search engine.
Look-up “Factory Farming” Look-up “Vegan”
“Naming a rock, a banana, does not make it food”

Santa is a vegan? He's a factory farmer? That quote doesn't even make sense!

Or the driver's ed teacher I had who'd take a girl out alone on her "drive with the teacher" thing and try to have sex with her in the car.

Sounds like the principal of my high school. I think he got fired for it after I graduated.

As for my weird teachers, I had a music teacher in elementary school who taught us Vietnam protest songs. We had to sing songs like One Tin Soldier and Where Have All The Flowers Gone?" in third grade.
