Entry tags:cow rape, schools, veganism

Go off in the corner with your roast beef sandwich, while we build a better World.
Meanie cow-raping school district fires bold rebel for secretly teaching veganism in art class, instead of, um, art.

The former teacher, Dave Warwak, leaves no news article combox untouched in his quest, under the name inslidedotcom.

"teach them how Artists shape and guide morals in society With this knowledge, they can deal with the real world Use their art to create positive change Live longer Heal the earth I model what I teach I have been railroaded Posts removed You celebrate I appeal You pay Meat and Dairy laughs I cry"

Poetry.

And as his combox name might suggest, he has a website.

Yes, this is the man I want to teach MY children about art.

Edit: I turned off comment notification (ow, my inbox) so if anyone has any links to this guy wanking elsewhere (since he's wanked in two news articles at least, I'm sure there's more and will be more) please drop a comment in [info]joye's journal and I'll edit the post. Thanks.

Yep. Where there's no such beast as a Safeway or a fabric store.

There's really no fabric store? Ah, Richmond... All the ghetto of the city without any of the amenities.

Are there Safeways anywhere in VA? I remember some when I was a wee ickle thing but not since then.

Hear, hear.

I think my sister has mentioned one being here. But that was years ago.

I haven't seen any. My fabric is WalMart dollar table.

Everywhere except Richmond. Ukrops chased them out. Though there's Kroger's and Food Lion and Food Lion may finally be turning into Bloom. I think there's a Trader Joe's SOMEWHERE, though you may have to drive the hour to Hampton Roads to find it.

I remember Hampton Roads having a Safeway when I was little, but that was like, 25 years ago? Fuck, I'm getting old.

Out here in the hills, we have nothing either. But it's a bucolic, peaceful kind of nothing.

Errr... I was going to go to Richmond for vacation next month.

Damn.

This has been, "Shay's vacation plans aren't looking so good," brought to you by Piss-Poor Planning. Piss Poor Planning- for when you've just got to go somewhere to get away from the kids!

No worries! Ukrops isn't a horrible place to shop and their organic/health/vegan/dietary restriction sections are really good in the bigger stores.

I'll be down there for a pub crawl, actually. But I'll have most of Saturday morning and Sunday free if you care to drop a line and give me some recommendations of interesting things to see- it's my username at livejournal dawtcawm.

Ah. Ukrops is closed Sundays. But I'll see what I can pull up. Penny Lane is good if you don't mind the Beatles.

Haha, I thought you were writing about Richmond, BC and I was like "What? Chinese people don't sell vegetables now?"
