Argentina. We have a tradition of nicknaming people using their birthplace/ethnic origin and 'The Turk' covers anything from Turkey to Afghanistan. Ironically, we've oficially recognized the Armenian genocide as such, the most important university in the country supports an oral history project about it and we actually have a sizeable (and noticeable, with ministers and sportsmen) Armenian community so that makes it even weirder. 	Oh, there are but the ones that got to be 'The German' were the non-Jewish German immigrants. But, most times, German surnames (or certain kind of German surnames) are linked to Jews too so they get called 'Russians'. I never said our Popular Geography made any sense. XP (Reply to this)(Parent)
