Cool Whip: It's a Floorwax and a Dessert Topping!
Over in the hip_domestics community, petrel asks the age old question, "Cool Whip is the same as whipped cream, right?" followed closely by "How do you make whipped cream anyway?" This draws some slight mumbling from the crowd on the evils of Cool Whip, nothing spectacular, really.

Anyhoo, domestic snark picks it up and upsets a friend of the original poster, coflower, who wouldn't have been upset if everyone knew what an IQ smart person [petrel] is.

Once again, short but sweet. (I should really stop looking at food comms when I'm hungry.)

Red hot dogs. The skin snaps deliciously when you bite into it, and the inside (which is not red) is more savory than brown hot dogs. I love them. I won't even look at a brown hot dog if there are red ones to be had.

The first time I learned that they were strictly regional was when I was visiting a friend from Canada. Her mom mentioned that there would be hot dogs for lunch. I asked, "What color?" and was baffled by the resulting confusion.

Red hot dogs and Moxie: two very compelling reasons to be a life-long Mainer. (Moxie is a very strong, almost medicinal-tasting soda. Everyone who tries it either loves it or hates it. I have never met anyone who tasted Moxie and went, "Meh.")

	I like my hot dogs more savory, so it sounds good to me! Though I don't know that I'll spend $70 to try it out, so I guess I'll have to take a trip north one of these days. :) (Reply to this)(Parent)
