Apparently "caucasian" means anyone, real or fictional, living or dead, who has even done, thought of doing, or even been imagined to be doing anything interesting, ever, at any historical period or geographical location. I hear that Gandhi, Pochantas, Nelson Mandela, and Rosa Parks were also white, and that anyone who says different is just perpetuating a zionist plot. They were also all christian men who voted republican, hated gay marriage, and were proud to be Americans, where at least they knew they were free.

	In all fairness, the broadest definition of that kind of pointless term can cover all those areas. But still more c&p'ed from the Wikipedia article than reflecting any actual understanding of the term. How about - Jesus: Had a darker skin pigmentation than you're comfortable with. 	I thought there was some ethnicity defined as "Arab" or "Middle-Eastern"? I don't know much about American definitions of terms, but I'm pretty sure very few people would call me, for example, "Caucasian" (I'm from Egypt). (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Nope, CONGRATULATIONS! According to the US Census, you're Caucasian.

Everyone from North Africa and the middle East are Caucasian. There are only five US Census "race" groups: Caucasian, Black, Asian, South East Asian, American Indian/Native Hawaiian.

In addition to these "race" groups, there is one "ethnicity" group and the choices are: Hispanic or Non Hispanic. So you can't even get an ethnicity rating.

Kind of dumb huh?

	Huh. Kind of weird, to tell you the truth. The more you know, I guess. (When I applied to an American college, I checked both the "African" and the "Middle-Eastern" boxes, though, because, well, the question was what ethnic group I identified with, which to me makes all the difference.)
