	I thought there was some ethnicity defined as "Arab" or "Middle-Eastern"? I don't know much about American definitions of terms, but I'm pretty sure very few people would call me, for example, "Caucasian" (I'm from Egypt). (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Nope, CONGRATULATIONS! According to the US Census, you're Caucasian.

Everyone from North Africa and the middle East are Caucasian. There are only five US Census "race" groups: Caucasian, Black, Asian, South East Asian, American Indian/Native Hawaiian.

In addition to these "race" groups, there is one "ethnicity" group and the choices are: Hispanic or Non Hispanic. So you can't even get an ethnicity rating.

Kind of dumb huh?

	Huh. Kind of weird, to tell you the truth. The more you know, I guess. (When I applied to an American college, I checked both the "African" and the "Middle-Eastern" boxes, though, because, well, the question was what ethnic group I identified with, which to me makes all the difference.)
