ONTDers vs ONTDmods
ONTD Bans Off Topic Comments.

This leads to wank aaaall over the place. My favourite is Bitching at the mods for being racist! which is true (which has a special guest star: how dare you say Jesus wasn't white!)

As I continue on: More bitching about double standards go here.

But really, I'm only on page 3 and there's so much wank it makes me teary-eyed.

Page 6 brings the best possible defense for OT comments possible.

Coon Chicken was an actual business for several decades in the first half of the 1900's. In the film Ghost World, the main character uses a poster from a same-named business to make a statement about how things that are considered racist now were considered ok only decades before. It may be a reference to that, but I don't know.

Well yes but umm, that's why it's called the past?

See, as little as a hundred and fifty years ago it was A OK to ya know... own people and use them as human cattle. And as little as eighty years ago it was cool to keep women from voting.

So... still not funny?

I'm not saying it's funny or agreeing with it. I'm just giving it more context. It wasn't meant to be funny in the film, either.
