	Barely minimum wage? Jeebus, when I was waiting tables servers were lucky to get more than half the local minimum wage as base pay. Or some places I used to deliver pizza at, the drivers didn't get wages at all, delivery charge and tips was all they got. It's only tangentically related, but my friends and I went out, and I paid on my credit card (and they all handed me cash) and we had this long fuss about whether I'd tipped or not, because you can write the tip underneath the subtotal when you pay on your card, and then write in the final total. I waited until they left, then asked the waitress to be sure.

...they were so nice to us. My friends were loud, but we weren't rude. And there *were* seven of us. XD

I don't wanna share my thoughts on yaoi, here, but what special or extraordinary stuff does she expect? You can only individualize so much when you serve at least dozens of people a day, if not hundreds, and it's not like everyone appreciates the effort, whether they just ignore it or snap at you for not doing it just right or their way.

Yeesh, she is an asshole. The only excuse I can see for not tipping at least something is if the server is particularly rude or spectacularly bad at the job. I've refrained from tipping about four times in my life, I think, and those were because I just couldn't see rewarding the fuckwads I was forced to deal with. Other than that, I tend to tip pretty generously for the usual crappy-wages reasons.
