I'm a member of wow_ladies and worldofwarcraft, and I actually like both of them for the most part. wow_ladies is a good deal wankier and more frustrating for me, but I got lots and lots of news about what's going on in WoW, because I don't go to WoWInsider or the Blizz Forums (for my sanity).
