Anonymous VS Scientology Part 3
February 10th was International IRL Scientology Raid Day!

The results:
List of pictures and videos of international raids
Definitive headcount per city of February 10th
Epic worldwide news coverage

In total, an estimated 6500 Anonymous marched worldwide to stop Scientology.

Epic alt.religion.scientology thread is epic:

- The authorities will never go for their demands as they know the slob
kids are criminals. They rather will protect the Scientologists.

- German secret service is in the hand of psychiatrists. (If you would ever have lived in Germany, you would know that the psychiatrists are even above the courts and government in Germany. No official or German judge would ever overrule a psychiatrist. Most anonymous kids have not much of an education besides hacking, and that is why they don't know that psychiatrists were former barbers and made horrible experiments on millions of Jews and others.) History shows that the German secret service was specialized of infiltrating and they still do it. Most of the hacker kids might not even know who their master is but as they are dumb and like criminal actions, they allow this secret service to run them

- The kids hide their faces during their hate marches because they
know that they are lying about the religion Scientology. They know
that they violated the laws and don't want to be sued or prosecuted.

- I hope they are watching you having your tantrum.
- We are. Always. Expect us.

- I am VERY knowledgeable about what happened when the NAZI's were in
control, I'm also very knowledgeable about what life is like there
now. Also, my fiance has a bachelor degree, wouldn't call that
uneducated. I have also attended college and plan to go back once my
children are grown.

Also, a girl protesting in Australia has been declared Chanology's mascot, and is being Rule 34'd like it's going out of style. (Not even remotely WS.)

Meanwhile, anti-Scientology celebrities continue to support Anonymous! Paulette Cooper issued a statement that:

“Anonymous has become Unanimous – one voice at last unafraid to tell the truth about the many evils of the Scientology cult. On February 10th, in one day, one person, Anonymous, accomplished more than I did in 15 years by getting over 7000 people in almost 100 world-wide cities to come out publicly and bravely oppose Scientology.”Paulette Cooper

But that's not all: Karin Spaink (of XS4all fame) actually showed up for the Amsterdam raid! (Then again, so did Splongcat.)

The next raid is March 15th - unite as one, divide by zero, beware the ides of March, bring a party hat!

ETA - This was yesterday's front page of a national free Dutch newspaper. No, srsly. Comes with translation!

ETA #2 - Epic flash video is epic too.

You know, ordinarily when you get a bunch of people from the internet referencing popular movies and shouting memes it looks nerdy and retarded, but somehow Anonymous managed to pull it off. I'm not sure how they managed to make their cause look serious despite the rickrolling and references to loooongcat, but they did. I can't imagine but normal people weren't kind of alarmed.

It's been both funny and heartening to watch some of the old critics on a.r.s. and elsewhere learn their basic memes, and enthusiastically appropriate some of them. Wise Beard Man is wise!

Nothing is more uplifting than watching a vicious crime syndicate flail and foam at the mouth over a couple thousand kids from the internet.

We went to the protest in Minneapolis in -36 to -50 degree wind chill, and attendance topped at about a hundred brave souls. It was a completely peaceful assembly and the cops thought we were hilarious. We rickrolled the bastards sitting so smug in their warm little cult-nest. We rickrolled to keep warm.

March 15 cannot come too soon. The swelling ARS drama will hopefully keep things interesting while we wait.

That's not drama, that's normal for ARS. Monica showing back up after a long absence and getting into a few flamewars is a little bit of a break in the standard routine, but the thread linked above is pretty typical. Keep an eye out for a poster named 'LaserClam', too.

What I'm really, really not getting are the people going "you are ruining anonymous! Newfags!" because a bunch of people went out and had a fucking fantastic time doing a peaceful protest using internet memes that practically everyone knows (I have never been anywhere near /b/. I still know this shit). WTF? (Also, "OMG CHILDISH" is the most ironic insult EVER.)

Because Anon is showing some kind of goddamn adult sensibility and utilizing the power of IRL trolling For Great Justice in addition to lulz.

People think Anon is not cool anymore because it's trying to make the world a better place.

Personally, I didn't think it was cool until it started. But it's the internet, so no one gives a fuck what I think.

I didn't see a single sign that supported Scientology's claim that this is a hate crime. All the posters were factual, website addresses, or internet memes. Unless "Long cat is Loooooooooooooong" is the new KKK rally motto, they have very little to stand on.

I'm considering going too. But it depends which day of the week it's on (school for the fail). Someone needs to pass out cookies!

What does being a barber have to do with experimenting on Jews? Or are those supposed to be two seperate points? In which case I have to point out that it was the *dentists* that were barbers in the middle ages.

Also, Only members know that a certain image - for example a picture of a Pokemon - is not just a picture, but something else is hidden behind it.

...and they pick LUCARIO to put in their cover? Not, you know, Mudkip? Or at least Slowpoke...

I cannot WAIT for the Law & Order episode that will surely come out of this.

Also, I hope the protests continue through the spring; maybe I'll actually feel like going to one of the Minneapolis ones for real, instead of just lurking nearby for five minutes before seeking shelter someplace that wasn't forty degrees below zero.

I know this is just one crazy on a messageboard but it still saddens me. Peacfully protesting shouldn't equal lawsuit :(

what really makes me sad, is that protest will pretty much blow every any future protests out of the water.

"Hey, we're gonna go drive by the big anti-*whatever* rally downtown, wanna come?"

"Will there be Mudkips?"

"umm, no."

"not interested."

The Ides of March? Clearly, we need to show up in togas, bearing signs with Latin memes. I have some suggestions:

et tu, l. ron?
laganum mendacium est
longissimus: non legi
feles longa longissima est
tace, nove
o di immortales, leo est, equos conscendite

Okay, I live in Germany and I can say I never heard any of this (then again, I speak little German so I'm not a good witness). They do have a program called kindergeld which is like 1000 Euro a month for parents of a child with one German parent. I see that only being evil for childfree peoples.
